Arrival in Ushuaia, Argentina

Arrive in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. Check into your hotel and explore the city. Attend a pre-expedition briefing and welcome dinner.

July 2

Embarkation and Departure

Embark on your expedition vessel and set sail through the Beagle Channel. Attend orientation and safety briefings onboard.

July 3

Crossing the Drake Passage

Spend two days crossing the Drake Passage. Attend lectures and presentations by expedition leaders and naturalists. Watch for wildlife such as seabirds, whales, and dolphins.

July 4

South Shetland Islands

Arrive at the South Shetland Islands. Disembark for your first Zodiac cruise and shore excursion. Visit a research station and explore the unique landscapes and wildlife.

July 5-7

Antarctic Peninsula Exploration

Explore the Antarctic Peninsula. Visit sites such as Neko Harbour, Paradise Bay, and Port Lockroy. Participate in activities like ice climbing, kayaking, and snowshoeing.

July 8

Deception Island

Visit Deception Island, an active volcano. Take a Zodiac cruise inside the caldera and hike to the summit for panoramic views. Optional swim in the thermal waters of Pendulum Cove.

July 9

Return Journey

Sail back through the Drake Passage. Attend final lectures and enjoy a relaxing day at sea.

July 10

Disembarkation in Ushuaia

Arrive in Ushuaia and disembark. Transfer to the airport for your flight home or extend your stay in Ushuaia.
